Valerie Anne (Caron) Christian

Valerie Anne Christian, age 64, of Topeka, IN passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at her residence.  Ms. Christian was born on December 30, 1955 in Kendallville, IN to Robert Caron and Mary Jo (Babin) Fleck.  She graduated from Lakeland High School.  Valerie worked as an industrial seamstress for Mastercraft and Lippert Components.  She liked fishing and mushroom hunting in the spring.  Valerie was an avid Chicago Cubs baseball fan.  She enjoyed spending her afternoons watching Soap Operas and sipping on Bud Light.  Valerie loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren was always a true gift to her.  She was known for her homemade apple pies, her loving characteristics, stubbornness, and for being a little full of piss and vinegar.

Son, James David Thomas III of Fort Wayne, IN.
Daughter, Jamie (Tim) Fugate of Wawaka, IN.
Daughter, Renee (Mike) Weaver of Lowell, IN.
Grandson, Christopher Michael Thomas of Elkhart, IN.
Granddaughter, Shala Raquel Scheaffer of LaGrange, IN.
Grandson, Austin Kenneth James Cox of Kendallville, IN.
Grandson, Skylar Fugate of Wawaka, IN.
Granddaughter, Allyson Fugate of Wawaka, IN.
Grandson, Harry Weaver of Lowell, IN.
6 Great-grandchildren.
Brother, Joe Caron of Stroh, IN.

Valerie was preceded in death by her parents and son, Jeromie Thomas.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
