Tim Willits Obituary

Tim Allen Willits, age 54, of Depauw, IN passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at his residence.  He was born on September 7,1966 in Kendallville, IN to Freeman and Mary (Miller) Willits.  In 1984, he graduated from Prairie Heights High School.  On December 30, 1984, he married Diana Lynn Morgan in Kendallville, IN.  Mr. Willits served his country honorably for 15 years with The United States Air Force, Air National Guard, and Army National Guard.  Tim worked as a mold technician for Federal Mogule in Avilla, IN for 30 years and for Bosche in Albion, IN for 5 years.  He was a member of Great Faith Church in New Albany, IN and previously a member of New Life Apostolic Church in Kendallville, IN.  Tim loved to work on cars and perform home repairs.  He enjoyed his 40 caliber, firearms and target practicing.  Tim was known for his joking, pulling pranks on his wife, and making people laugh.  He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.  He was described as a “lovable bear” who would do anything for anyone in need.  

Survivors include:
Spouse, Diana Lynn Willits of Depauw, IN.
Son, Matthieu and Kallie Willits of Garrett, IN.
Daughter, Mary and Ryan Orr of Georgetown, IN.
Granddaughter, Scarlette Willits of Garrett, IN.
Grandson, Kaden Willits of Garrett, IN.
Granddaughter, Livie Willits of Garrett, IN.
Step-mother, Peggy Willits of Kendallville, IN.
Brother, Devon and Val Willits of Ohio.
Sister, Fannie Willits of South Milford, IN.

Tim was preceded in death by his infant child in 1986, his parents, and a half-sister, Barbara Ann Miller. 

Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 22, 2021 at 1pm with visitation prior from 11am-1pm at New Life Apostolic Church, 609 Patty Lane, Kendallville, IN 46755.

Burial with military honors will take place at South Milford Cemetery.

Officiating the funeral service will be Pastor Austin Gilliland.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the family.
