Susan I (Smith) Reiling

Susan I. Reiling, age 73, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Evergreen Village in Fort Wayne, IN. Ms. Reiling was born on September 27, 1949 in Sturgis, MI to Ralph and Mary (Miller) Smith.  She attended LaGrange High School.  Susan was employed by Nishikawa Cooper in Topeka, IN for 4 years.  She then worked for Becton Dickinson in Auburn, IN for 5 years.  Susan enjoyed puzzle books, coloring, and Dachshund dogs.  She was an avid fan of shiny jewelry, knick knacks, and pretty trinkets she decorated her home with.  Susan had a huge heart but also enjoyed the solitude of being a homebody.  She kept a positive attitude during all her trials and tribulations and always conquered tasks on her path.  Susan's jovial spirit kept a room light hearted and she impacted many lives positively during her lifetime.

Son, Allen (Kim) Reiling of Downs, IL.
Son, Jamie Reiling of LaGrange, IN.
Grandson, Jared Reiling of Normal, IL.
Grandson, Kendall Reiling of Downs, IL.
Brother, Robert Smith of Sturgis, MI.
Sister, Alliecia (Gary) Montgomery of Coldwater, MI.
Brother, Rodney Smith of Garrett, IN.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Larry Smith. 

Funeral service will take place on Monday, November 7, 2022 at 1:00pm with calling prior from 12:00pm-1:00pm at Hess Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 603 South Detroit Street, LaGrange, IN 46761.

Burial will take place following the service at Greenwood Cemetery in LaGrange, IN

Memorial donations may be directed to the Steuben County Animal Shelter.
