Sandra Delores (Hawkins) Russell

Sandra Delores Russell, age 68,  passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.  Sandy was born on July 20, 1952 to Elmer and Artie Hawkins.  On May 20, 1971, she married Roger Dale Russell Sr.  Sandy’s life focused on her love for Jesus Christ.  This love she shared with all those she encountered.  Sandy is now in her eternal home in Heaven.  She was an incredibly happy homemaker most of her life and valued her family more than anything.  Sandy was an active member of Green Chapel Redeemed Church and a large part of the singing group, “The Russells” for many years.  

She is survived by her son, Roger Russell Jr., Daughter, Shannon (Rev. Melvin) Heiniger, five grandchildren; Noah, Lukas, Jennifer, Cheyenne (Dalton), and Brayton, three great-grandchildren; Amora, Dante, and Ezra, two sisters; Darlene Barber and Laveta Hulsey, and three brothers; Clyde (Maureen) Hawkins, Dean (Flora) Hawkins, and Jimmy (Jeanne) Hawkins.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and four siblings: Janet, Dorothy, Ed and Bobby.  

Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at 6:00pm with a time of fellowship from 2:00pm-6:00pm at Green Chapel Redeemed Church, 050 E. 700 S. Wolcottville, IN, 46795.  

Officiating the service will be Dr. Rev. Rodney Arnett.
