Ronald "Ronnie" Owen Griffin

Ronald “Ronnie” Owen Griffin, age 83, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 16, 2023 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, IN.  Mr. Griffin was born on October 1, 1939 in Coldwater, MI to Dorsey Russell and Phyllis (Armstrong) Griffin.  Ronnie went to High School in Salem Center, Steuben County.  He was previously employed by the electric company in Garrett, IN.  Ronnie then was plant manager of Harris Float Boat in Elkhart for many years.  Ronnie wasn't afraid of hard work, he also worked as a private truck driver and also operated a handyman business.  He loved fishing, tinkering with cars, building and construction projects.  He enjoyed being outdoors snowmobiling, boating, and mushroom hunting.  Ronnie had a big heart and loved his family and Chihuahua, Cocoa. Ronnie had a special relationship with his daughters and he referred to them as Big Tom, Middle Tom, and Little Tom due to him always wanting a son.  However, he did get his wish with having a special boy who he raised from 10 years old named Johnny.  Ronnie loved all his family and friends and will be missed by those who loved him.

Daughter, Pamela Handshoe of LaGrange, IN.
Daughter, Kathy and Robert Bailey of Goshen, IN.
Son, Johnny Wolf of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Grandchildren, Charlia (Calvin) Murphy, Lukus (Jamie) Handshoe, Christian Gose, Cherish (Bob Hart) Coney, and Kassandra Coney.
Great-grandchildren, Aisha Conley, Brendan Handshoe, Alyvia Coney, Rydan King Hill, and Charleigh Coney.
Sister, Betty Gustin of Ohio.
Mother of children, Lois Osborne of Goshen, IN.
Many nieces and nephews.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Carole Griffin, daughter, Una K. Phillips, brothers; Hugh and Robert Griffin, and Robert Robinson.

 
There are no services scheduled at this time and a private family burial will take place at a later time.
