Roger Clay Handshoe

Roger Clay Handshoe, age 63, of LaGrange, IN passed away on Friday, June 25, 2021 at his residence.  Mr. Handshoe was born on January 30, 1958 in Garrett, KY to Floyd and Ines Handshoe.  On November 10, 1979, he married Pamela Griffin at the Stroh Church of Christ in Stroh, IN.  Roger worked at the Sturgis Foundry for 15 years.  He then went to work at L.A. West in LaGrange, IN for 7 years.   He was then employed by Forest River for an additional 7 years.  Roger loved being outdoors and fishing.  He enjoyed playing horseshoes, pool, and corn hole.  Roger was a hard-working man and was a skilled man with his hands at building.  He was a quick-witted loving grandfather who cherished his time with his family and loved ones.

Survivors include:
Daughter, Charlia and Calvin Murphy.
Son, Lukus and Jamie Handshoe.
Granddaughter, Aisha Conley.
Grandson, Brendan Handshoe.
Grandson, Caden Staley.
Grandson, Konner Handshoe.
Mother, Ines Handshoe.
Mother of his children, Pamela Handshoe.
Several brothers and 1 sister.

Roger was preceded in death by his father and brother, David Handshoe.  

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 1:00pm with calling prior from 12:00pm-1:00pm at Hess Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 603 South Detroit Street, LaGrange, IN 46761.

Burial will take place following the funeral service at Woodruff Cemetery.

Officiating the funeral service is Pastor Rick Davis.
