Robert E. Norris

Robert E. Norris, age 82, passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Monday, May 10, 2021 at Northridge Village in Albion, IN.  Mr. Norris was born on September 14, 1939 in LaGrange, IN to the late Walter Mehl and Barbara A. (Gohn) Norris.  He graduated from Brighton High School in LaGrange County.  On December 22, 1957, he married Barbara Doudt at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sturgis, MI.   Robert was a farmer all his life and worked 41 dedicated years at Dometic in LaGrange, IN.  He was a member of Community Baptist Church in Wolcottville, IN.  Robert enjoyed bowling and golfing in his free time.  He loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren.  

Survivors include:
Wife of 63 years, Barbara A. Norris.
Daughter, Rebecca Handshoe.
Son, Timothy (Gleema) Norris.
Daughter, Joni (Steven) Snyder.
5 Grandchildren, Amber Handshoe, Brandi Handshoe, Robert Handshoe, Shawn Ridenour, and Eric Snyder.
Many Great-Grandchildren.
Sister, Shirley Miller.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 14, 2021 at 1:00pm with visitation 2 hours prior from 11:00am-1:00pm at Community Baptist Church.  

Burial will take place at Mongo Cemetery.

Officiating the funeral services will be Pastor Zack Brown.

Pallbearers will be Stan Stidham, Brandon McClish, Johnny Handshoe, Kale Mahaska, Bill McClish, and Ron Collins.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Tim Norris, Elijah Handshoe, Christopher Anderson, Brody Anderson, Waylon Handshoe, and Caleb Handshoe.

Memorial donations may be directed to the family for the grandchildren’s college funds.
