He was a self-taught chef and businessman, working at many restaurants and establishments throughout his career. His passion has always been people and bringing everyone together with food. In 2000, he started Rich’s Cafe in New Haven, Indiana. He started three other locations in surrounding areas before taking an early retirement in 2004. In his free time, he enjoyed watching old western shows on TV, spending time with his daughter, and making breakfast sandwiches for his three grand dogs, Max, Monty, and Miles.  Rich is survived by his only daughter and son-in-law, Hannah Pelham-Arnos and Daniel Arnos of Fort Wayne, brother, Glenn Tirb of Missouri, and a large extended multigenerational family of cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Glenn Edward and Betty Jean Tirb, brother, David Lee Brooks, and aunt, Margaret Elaine Jedele.
