Rex Lynn Obendorf

Rex Lynn Obendorf, age 68, of LaGrange, IN passed away on Monday, March 8, 2021 at Life Care Center LaGrange.  Mr. Obendorf was born on September 1, 1952 in Garrett, IN to Russell Elmer and Anna Rhoda (Alwood) Obendorf.  Rex graduated from High School in Butler Indiana.  He worked in production and labor in manufacturing for many years.  Rex also was employed as a custodian for East Noble Middle School in Kendallville, IN.  In his younger years, he loved to go hunting and fishing.  Rex enjoyed watching old westerns on television and spending quality time with his grandchildren.  

Survivors include:
Daughter, Megan and John Kimbel of LaGrange, IN.  
Daughter, Kelly and Aaron Amburgey of LaGrange, IN.  
Grandchildren, Trista Uhl, Caleb Amburgey, Tabetha Uhl, Austin Amburgey, Briley Amburgey, Noah Kimbel, and Elijah Kimbel all of LaGrange, IN.
Uncle, Richard “Winkie” Obendorf of Butler, IN.

Rex was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Susan Dangler, brother, James Harter, and many aunts and uncles.

Private family viewing will be held and then cremation will follow.
