Phyllis Ann Streb

Phyllis Ann Streb, age 92, of South Bend, IN, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 7, 2023 at Raclin Center for Hospice in Mishawaka, IN.  Ms. Streb was born on December 25, 1930 in Kendallville, IN to Lloyd and Helen (Ebert) Hart.  In 1948, she graduated from Kendallville High School.  Following graduation, she married the love of her life and husband of 74 years, Richard Alan Streb. Phyllis was a wife, mother, and homemaker all her adult life.  She thoroughly loved the outdoors, gardening, tending to her vegetables, and being surrounded by nature.  Phyllis also loved baking cookies for her son-in-law.  

Survivors include:

Daughter, Kathye and Grant Davidson of South Bend, IN.

Grandson, James M. II and Jennifer Currey of Arizona.

2 Great-granddaughters, Olivia and Layla Currey of Arizona.

Step-Granddaughter, Tara and Rodney Schmitt of Granger, IN.

Step-grandson, Matthew and Monica Currey of Granger, IN.

6 Step-great-grandchildren.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, and sister, Donna Acres.

Graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at 1:00pm at Springfield Township Cemetery.
