Nancy Louise (Deal) Hunter

Nancy Louise Hunter, age 84, of LaGrange, IN passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023 in Rome City, IN.  Ms. Hunter was born on July 11, 1939 in Wheelwright, KY to the late Kenneth B. and Launa Lee (Luttrell) Deal.  She graduated from High School in Wheelwright, KY and then continued her education at Eastern Kentucky University.  On August 26, 1966, she married Rodney Hunter in Brimfield, IN.  He preceded her in death.  She was retired but previously employed at a couple of manufacturing companies and General Electric in Fort Wayne, IN.  Nancy and her family owned and operated a farm.  She would work tediously on the farm and perform all her homemaker duties.  Nancy also drove Amish to and from various locations.  She loved her family, jigsaw puzzles, Hallmark movies, and getting her nails done.  Nancy attended the LaGrange Missionary Church.  She also loved attending the Wheelwright reunion in Lexington, KY annually on Memorial Day weekend.

Son, Anthony Little.
Son, Kevin Hunter.
Daughter, Raquel Hunter.
Son-in-law, Rick Timbs.
10 Grandchildren.
7 Great-grandchildren.
Sister, Gwynne (George) Katzenbach.
Sister, Mary Lee Shockley.
Sister, Patricia (Paul) Collins.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, husband,  daughter, Paula Timbs, sister, Marlene Bartuka, and 2 brothers-in-law, Richard Shockley and Harry Bartuka.  

Cremation will take place and then burial will take place at a later date in Kentucky.
