Marian "Nan" Elaine (Cotman) Hagewood

Marian “Nan” Elaine Hagewood, age 82, formerly of Angola, IN passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at I.U. Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.  Ms. Hagewood was born on April 7, 1941 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Paul and Edna (Taylor) Cotman.  She attended high school in Oakland, CA.  She then married her husband of 52 years, Lynn Hagewood.  After 28 years of dedicated service, she retired from Dana Weatherhead in Angola, IN.  Nan enjoyed a good trip to Walmart and often would converse with everyone she encountered while shopping.  She loved Christmas, watching wildlife outdoors, and was proud that she lived in the same home for 55 years.  Nan’s top priority was her family and grandchildren.  She loved spending as much quality time with her loved ones as possible.  She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Daughter, Kim and Ed Messick of Pepperell, MA.

Son, Mark and Taneeka Hagewood of South Milford, IN.

Daughter, Libby and Bo Moore of LaGrange, IN.

Son, Mitch and Michelle Hagewood of Angola, IN. 

Daughter, Stacy and Brett Smith of Angola, IN.

Daughter, Heather Carlson of Avon, IN.

Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter.

Sister, Patricia and Dana Slack of Angola, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and great-grandson, Riley W. Carlson.

There will be a celebration of life on Monday, August 7, 2023 at 5:00pm at Restoration Ministries, 9030 US-20, Angola, IN 46703

Officiating the service will be Pastor Mike Cain.
