Joyce A. (Iddings) Woodworth

Joyce A. Woodworth, age 95, of LaGrange, IN went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Orchard Pointe Health Campus in Kendallville, IN.  Ms. Woodworth was born on April 1, 1928 in LaGrange, IN to Warren and Clara (Milleman) Iddings.  In 1946, she graduated from LaGrange High School.  On September 29, 1946, she married F. McKinley Woodworth Jr. in Bluffton, IN.  She was a lifelong resident of LaGrange, County and for several years worked for Lewis and Lambright Auctioneering and the LaGrange County Health Department.  Joyce was a loving wife, mother, homemaker, and Christian woman.  Joyce enjoyed fishing, working outdoors and tending to her garden.  She also loved vacationing in Northern Michigan.  At 80 years old, she went skydiving to commemorate a life well lived.  Joyce loved her family, grandchildren, and will be missed by all whose lives she graced.

Daughter, Jeanne (Dennis) Spreuer of Howe, IN.
Daughter, Eleanor Cappelli of Fort Wayne, IN.
Daughter, Mary Woodworth of LaGrange, IN.
9 Grandchildren.
16 Great-grandchildren.
3 Great-great-grandchildren.
Sister, Barbara Charles of Bluffton, IN.
Son-in-law, Jim Richard of Abilene, TX.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 children; Peg Richard and Jim Woodworth, grandson, Mike Maskow, son-in-law, Tom Maskow, and 5 siblings; Carol Yunker, Eleanor Iddings, Warren “Bud” Iddings, Joan Stafford, and Donna Gaines. 

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 15, 2023 from 3:00pm-7:00pm at Hess Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 603 South Detroit Street, LaGrange, IN 46761.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at 11:00am at Hess Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Burial will take place following the funeral service at Greenwood Cemetery in LaGrange, IN.

Officiating the services will be Pastor Thurston Jones with LaGrange Baptist Church.

Memorial donations may be directed to LaGrange County Community Foundation for LaGrange County Arts.
