Herbert Oscar Hansen Jr., age 74, of LaGrange, IN passed away on Friday, September 29, 2023 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. Mr. Hansen was born on September 23, 1949 in Teaneck, NJ to Herbert Oscar Sr. and Norma Jean (Felten) Hansen. Herb graduated from Westwood High School in Westwood, NJ. He then went to serve his country honorably with the United States Army with two tours during the Vietnam War. After the war, he continued his education at William Patterson College in New Jersey, where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree. Herb owned and operated his own stamp, coin, and collectibles shop. Herbert also worked for his family catering business for many years. He was adventurous, enjoyed volunteering at museums, and enjoyed living life to the fullest. Herb loved being outdoors, watching birds and butterflies, observing nature’s mystical beauty, and photography.He was also an avid Notre Dame fan. Herbert was a man of God with a very strong faith. He belonged to the Presbyterian Church in Howe, IN and enjoyed partaking in bible studies. Herbert will be missed by those who loved him.

2 granddaughters, Rebecca and Katelyn Hansen.
Sister, Nancy and Rob Pulvino.
3 Nieces, Robyn and Julia Defer, Karianne and Don Ciani, and Bria and Justin Calderone.
1 Nephew, Chase Holden.
7 Great-nieces and nephews.
Herbert was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Kim Holden.
There are no services scheduled at this time and cremation will take place.
