Estill Alfred Johnson, age 60, of Whitehouse, OH passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Blue Creek Healthcare in Whitehouse, OH. Mr. Johnson was born on April 5, 1962 in Tampa, FL to Alfred Johnson and Diane VanHorn. Estill graduated from Bronson High School in Bronson, MI and later attended college in Kalamazoo where he majored in Nursing. Mr. Johnson served his country honorably with the United States Army as a medic. Estill was a “Jack-of-all-trades.” His various employment ventures included foundry work, landscaping, and nursing. As a child and younger man Estill was fearless and a free spirit. He enjoyed agitating bulls and then running for his life from them as they chased him angrily. Estill was a sports enthusiast. He played football and really enjoyed weight lifting. Estill was a man of God and even accomplished becoming an ordained minister. He was also a member of East Chesterfield Disciples of Christ in Lyons, OH. Estill never met a stranger and truly loved his friends as family from Blue Creek Healthcare.

Sister, Sandy (Chris) Sparks of Morehead, KY.

Sister, Rodinah Johnson-Garvey of Wauseon, OH.

Brother, Roy (Kathy) Johnson of Howe, IN.

Brother, Jackie (Toni) Wahley of KY.

Sister, Susan (Dave) Fleming of Marion, OH.

Sister, Nola Rife of Elkhart, IN.

Sister, Karen Mullins of Marion, OH.

Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends from Blue Creek Healthcare.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 1:00pm with calling 1 hour prior from 12:00pm-1:00pm at Hess Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 603 South Detroit Street, LaGrange, IN 46761.

Burial will take place following the funeral service at Ontario Cemetery in LaGrange County.

Officiating the services will be Pastor Roy Johnson.

Memorial donations may be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
