Adam G. Sims

Adam G. Sims, age 39, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022 in Angola, IN.  Mr. Sims was born on March 16, 1982 in Chicago, IL.  In 2000, he graduated from Prairie Heights High School in LaGrange, IN.  Adam continued his education at both Vincennes University and Indiana University where he obtained certificates in both business and computer science.  Adam was known for his dedication and work ethic.  He formerly worked at Ruby Tuesday’s as an assistant manager.  Adam was currently employed as General Manager of The Bistro on Lake James.  He was known for his quick wit, jokes, and stories.  Tinkering, inventing, and manufacturing various contraptions was another attribute Adam was gifted with.  He created intricate hover boards for his daughters, nieces, and nephews.  Adam was very present and available for those he loved.  Several stories float around on his various acts of kindness, compassion, and love for others who were in need.  He was a beloved son, father, brother, and friend that will be truly missed.

Adam was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert and Bess Rice, paternal grandparents, Richard and Alice Pranger, step-grandmother, Katie Pranger, Uncle, Bernard “Papa” Muncy, and aunt Shelva Muncy.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022 at 4:00pm with visitation two hours prior from 2:00pm-4:00pmm at Hess Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 603 South Detroit Street, LaGrange, IN 46761.  A dinner will be held immediately following the service at the LaGrange Church of God, 777 North Detroit Street, LaGrange, IN 46761.

Cremation will follow the services.

Officiating the funeral service will be Pastor Jim Bartlett.

Memorial donations may be directed to the family for final expense.
