Aaron "Howie" Howard Yoder

Aaron Howard “Howie” Yoder, age 51, of Wolcottville, IN, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024 at his residence. Mr. Yoder was born on January 30, 1973 in Sturgis, MI to Howard L. and Loretta M (Johnloz) Yoder. On November 27, 2006, he married Tamela J. Kobold in Las Vegas, NV. Howie began his professional life at Marque Ambulance where he was head of the fabricating department for 10 years. He then ventured on to L&W for 5 years, where he was over the steel and welding department. For 9 years, he co-owned and operated “Yoder Wood Products.” Then for the last 4 years, he was employed by Lake Area Designs as a cnc operator and supervisor. Howie was a skilled woodworker, cnc specialist, and took great pride in his skillset and ability. He enjoyed collecting cards, coins, running remote control cars, fishing, and recently Chess. Aaron was quite possibly the biggest Notre Dame fan and truly loved collecting every bit of Notre Dame memorabilia he could get his hands on. In his youth, he was well known for his loud stereo sound system that he’d blast while traveling in his custom painted truck. Howie had a contagiously unique laugh that could illuminate any room. He absolutely loved his family, friends, and his pride and joy was his son, Jaxson.

Wife, Tamela “Tammy” Yoder of Wolcottville, IN.
Son, Jaxson Yoder.
Step-daughter, Ashley (Michael) Dembinski.
Step-daughter, Danielle (Chris) Ellis.
Grandchildren, Caiden, Olivia, Owen, Emma, Rhylie, and Leigha.
Sister, Sheri Yoder of Howe, IN.
Brother, Daron (Stephanie) Yoder of Of Howe, IN.
Nieces, Andrea Eckler of Shipshewana, IN, and Danika Yoder of Howe, IN.
Nephews, Drake (Breanne) Yoder of LaGrange, IN, and Willie Eckler of Burr Oak, MI.
Great-nieces, Madison Elmore and Paisley Yoder.
Great nephew, Brentlee Elmore.

Howie was preceded in death by his both maternal and paternal grandparents.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2024, from 2:00pm-6:00pm at Hess Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 603 South Detroit Street, LaGrange, IN 46761.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 11, 2024 at 2:00pm at Hess Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Cremation will take place following the services and burial at Sidener Cemetery will take place at a later date.

Memorial donations may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.
