Wilma Jean Farris, age 93, of LaGrange, IN passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2020 in the care of her family at her son's home in New Haven, IN.  Mrs. Farris was born on October 9, 1927 in LaMont, IL to the late Cleo C. and Geneva E. (Palmer) Duzan.  She received her education in Isabell, IL.  On August 31, 1946, she married Francis A. Farris in Oakland, IL.  He preceded her in death on November 12, 1998.  Jean worked for Transogram Toys in Sturgis, MI for many years.  She retired from Dometic in LaGrange, IN after several years of dedicated service.  Jean loved the outdoors, gardening, tending to her flowers, walking in nature, collecting rocks and hornet nests.  She loved mushroom hunting as well as eating mushrooms.  Jean was a determined woman who accomplished what she set her mind to.  She was a strong Christian woman who was loving, caring, kind, and giving.  Jean loved her children, her grandchildren, family, and friends.

Survivors include: Son, Richard "Rick" (Molly) Farris of New Haven, IN. Granddaughter, Sara (Jobey) Bradtmueller of Fort Wayne, IN. Grandson, Mark (Lisa) Farris of Madison, IN. Great-grandson, Mathew Farris of Madison, IN. Great-grandson, Quentin Farris of Madison, IN. Great-granddaughter, Carly Bradtmueller of Fort Wayne, IN. Great-grandson, Braeden Bradtmueller of Fort Wayne, IN. Long-time friend, Reva Owens of Indiana. Many nieces and nephews.

Jean was also preceded in death by her siblings; Bob Duzan, Bud Duzan, Virginia Leer, and Ellen Duzan.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 2:00pm with calling one-hour prior from 1:00-2:00pm at Hess Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 603 South Detroit Street, LaGrange, IN 46761.

Burial will take place following the funeral service at Greenwood Cemetery in LaGrange, IN.

Officiating the services will be Pastor Melvin Heiniger.
