Walter G. Parsons, age 72, of LaGrange, IN passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at his home.  Mr. Parsons was born on July 6, 1949 in Pikeville, KY to Harm Parsons and Maryland (Herrington) Slone.  Walter graduated from High School in Betsy Layne, KY.  On January 23, 1971, Walter married Rose Marie Figley in Fitchfield, OH at the Church of Christ.  He worked in the construction industry for over 40 years.  Walter owned and operated Parsons Construction before retiring.  He was a member of the LaGrange Church of Christ.  Walter enjoyed fishing, hunting, and visiting family.  Walter's grandchildren meant the world to him and he enjoyed spending as much quality time with them as he could.

Survivors include: Wife, Rose Marie Parsons of LaGrange, IN. Daughter, Consuela "Connie" Parsons of LaGrange, IN. Son, Christopher Parsons of LaGrange, IN. Daughter, Maykayle Parsons of LaGrange, IN. Daughter, Yvonne (Michael) Clifford of Howe, IN. Grandchildren, Zander Hilton and Olivia Parsons of LaGrange, IN. Brother, Leonard Parsons of Kentucky. Sister, Betty Whyele of Elkhart, IN. Brother, Willie (Barbara) Parsons of Goshen, IN.

Walter was preceded in death by his Parents and brothers, Ira, Johnny, and Saint Parsons.

A memorial service will be held in Walter's honor on Friday, February 25, 2022 at 1:00pm with visitation 2 hours prior from 11:00am-1:00pm at Hess Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 603 South Detroit Street, LaGrange, IN 46761.

Officiating the service will be Pastor Jesse Parsons.
