Wallace Dwight From, age 97, of Orland, IN passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Astral at Auburn in Auburn, IN.  Mr. From was born on August 17, 1926 in Branch County Quincy, MI to the late Harold and Elsie (Heuer) From.  He served his country honorably with the United States Army during World War II.  On March 29, 1952, he married Carolyn Glee Sprow in Orland, IN.  Wallace worked as a union bricklayer for many years.  He was a member of the American Legion Post #423.  Wallace was a very talented woodworker who enjoyed home improvement projects as well as constructing, hobby horses, hutches, and tables.  His true passion was farming and he also enjoyed fishing in his spare time.  Wallace will be missed by his family and loved ones.

Survivors include: Wife, Carolyn From. Son, Duane From. Son, Rodney and Wanda From. 3 Grandchildren. 4 Great-grandchildren. Sister, Janice From. Sister-in-law, Betty From.

Wallace was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Dianne Vonnegut, siblings; Wilbur From, Wesley From, Raymond From, Wilma (Don) Beach, Janet (Doug) Alexander, Alverata From, and Mary (Herb) Signer.

There are no services scheduled at this time and cremation will follow.  Burial will take place at a later time in Greenlawn Cemetery in Orland, IN.
