Thomas Allen Crabill, age 82, of LaGrange, IN, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, IN.

Tom was born on June 2, 1943, in Fort Wayne, IN, to the late Robert Crabill and Marjorie (Long) Clum. He graduated from high school in Kalamazoo, MI, in 1957. Tom proudly served his country as a career veteran in the United States Navy for 24 years, including service in Vietnam and at the Pentagon, achieving the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer.

An avid outdoorsman, Tom loved fishing, hunting, mushroom hunting, and life on Fish Lake. He was known for his passion for collecting fishing rods and a variety of other treasures. Highly organized, detailed, and inquisitive by nature, Tom took great joy in family gatherings and spending time with his loved ones. He often fondly recalled his cherished childhood dog, Sammy, and his pet raccoon, Corky.

Survivors include his sister, Ellen (Larry) Herscher; brother, Benjamin Crabill; and nieces and nephews, Trey Freeman, Jeff Freeman, Ellen (Carlos) Juarez, Tom (Linda) Crabill, and Karen (Wayne) Crabill-Rusnell. He is also survived by many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved four-legged companions, Sammy and Corky.

In accordance with Tom's wishes, cremation will take place prior to graveside services, which will be held at a later date.
