Terry J. Shafer

Terry J. Shafer, age 66, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Friday, November 6, 2026, at The Waters of Fort Wayne. 

Terry was born on April 30, 1960, in Sturgis, Michigan, to the late Larry and Margaret (Sams) Shafer.  Following his high school graduation, Terry proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He later dedicated 35 years of his career to the construction industry, working as an engineer.

In his leisure time, Terry enjoyed fishing, playing horseshoes, and throwing darts. He was also a talented and skilled woodworker who took great pride in his craftsmanship. Drawing upon his years of experience in the construction industry, Terry created many beautiful home modifications and took satisfaction in his ability to build and improve things with his hands.

Terry is survived by his daughters, Kandi (Bob) Delee and Lindsey (Lindsey) Shafer; and his brother, Rick (Rita) Shafer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Jaime Shafer; and his brothers, Bill and Tim Shafer.

At this time, no services are scheduled. In accordance with the family’s wishes, cremation will take place.
