Terry Lee Gerwig, age 66, of LaGrange, IN passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne IN.  Mr. Gerwig was born on March 16, 1955 in Grant, MI to William Albert and Bonnie Lin (Thompson) Gerwig.  On September 22, 1973, Terry married Lou Ann Rich in Traverse City, MI.  Terry was a Jack-of-all-trades.  He hauled trailers for Phoenix in his early years.  Terry then was employed at Coachmen for 4 years.   He also worked for Thor for 4 years.  Terry retired from Brighton Cobb Company after 13 years of dedicated service.  He loved to tinker in his garage and work on his project cars including a Chevy Bel Air, 60 Ford Starliner, and an El Camino.  Terry enjoyed a good game of cards and joking.  His fun-loving jokes of "pull my finger" and making people taste lemon and mustard were always his favorites.  Terry never told anyone no and always was the first to lend a helping hand.  He was a simple man who everyone loved.

Survivors include: Wife, Lou Ann Gerwig of LaGrange, IN. Daughter, Steffanie (Victor) Lugo of Mishawaka, IN. Daughter, Elizabeth Hart of LaGrange, IN. Grandson, Araya Hart of LaGrange, IN. Grandson, Christopher Hart of LaGrange, IN. Granddaughter, Jasmine Gerwig of Coldwater, MI. Granddaughter, Hailey Gerwig of Avilla, IN. Granddaughter, Jenna Gerwig of Avilla, IN. Granddaughter, Maya Lugo of Mishawaka, IN. Daughter-in-law, Stacey Owsley- Gerwig of Avilla, IN. Sister, Michelle (Bob) Sammons of Pinconning, MI. Sister-in-law, Debra Stoddard of Bay City, MI. Brother-in-law, Gary (Kim) Rich of Afton, TN.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, son, Joseph Gerwig, brother, William K. Gerwig, and brother-in-law, Wilbur G. Rich.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 1:00pm with visitation prior from 11:00am-1:00pm at Hess Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 603 South Detroit Street, LaGrange, IN 46761.

Officiating the services will be Dr. James P. Hess.

Cremation will follow the services.
