Obituary

Susan Marie Dillon, age 75, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, IN. Sue was born on March 4, 1949 in Garrett, IN to Collins Joseph and Mary Helen (Miller) Redmond. In 1967, Sue graduated as a Railroader at Garrett High School. On September 26, 1975, she married Roderick B. Dillon in Fort Wayne. For 15 years, Sue diligently worked as an advertising professional and specialist for Bonsib Advertising Agency in Fort Wayne. Though Sue excelled in her professional life, she also was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, and provided a stellar home for her loved ones to live within. She was a devout charter member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Fort Wayne and never missed an online or in person Mass. Sue had a tenacious mindset and never let her wheelchair define who she was as a woman. Though most of the purchases were for her loved ones, she loved shopping at Von Maur, QVC, Amazon, and touring every aisle of Target. She loved watching tennis and partaking in all her children and grandchildren's activities. Sue was known for making sure family dinner was served every night. Sue was a self-less woman, with a huge heart and smile, who kept up with her children and grandchildren's sense of humor, and even on her final days, still insisted the hummingbirds be fed at the house. Her family and loved ones were her world. She adored every precious memory, moment, and event she had with them all. Susan will be deeply missed by her family, friends, church family, and loved ones.

Survivors include: Son, Todd Allen and Chassity Dillon of Burbon, IN. Son, Robbie and Heather Dillon of Fort Wayne, IN. Mother, Mary Helen Redmond of Fort Wayne, IN.
