Sharon Lee Drew

Sharon Lee Drew, 87, from Albion, Indiana. went to be with the Lord on June 19, 2026 at Parkview Hospital, Lagrange. She was surrounded throughout her last days by her loving family. 

She was born in Fort Wayne. IN to Gilbert P. and Elizabeth H. (Rainey) Malott. She attended Elmhurst High School and later attended Withlacoochee School of Nursing in Inverness, Florida. Sharon was in nursing much of her adult life. She retired from Citrus Cardiology in 2006.  

She married Kenneth E. Drew on September 21, 1956, in Fort Wayne, IN. Together, she and Ken raised three children. He preceded her in death on February 25, 2010.

Sharon was known for serving others, whether it was to make a meal, watch a child, take a friend to the doctor, lend advice, or to just listen. She loved her grandchildren and would often tease them just to get a good laugh from them. Her interests included cooking, working in flowerbeds, bird watching, reading Amish love stories (they do exist) and cheating at Dominoes. She loved the Lord and old gospel hymns, which could be heard playing in the background when visiting her home.

Surviving are her children Kenneth D. (Angi) Drew, Dunnellon, FL, Sherry L. (David) Caldwell, Wolcottville, IN, and Dawn M. (Jason) Cowley, LaGrange, IN, grandchildren Kenneth M. (Carrie) Drew, Corey S. (Sarah) Caldwell, Trenton W. (Lindsey) Cowley, Michelle D. (Joshua) Dininny, Seth D. (Brittany) Cowley, Matthew E. Drew, and Rebecca M. (Chris) Chapman, 25 great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren, her companion of 13 years, Leon Dean, Albion, IN, siblings Marlene Goudy, Darlene (Fred) Roush, Karen (Robert) Bodle, Robert (Dawn) Malott, Keith (Shirley) Malott, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her siblings, Sally Polley, Jackie Malott, Beverly Brockman, Shirley Robbins, Raymond (Eddie) Malott, Patty Lou Malott, and infant granddaughter Autumn M. Mudrack.

There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
