Sandra Ann (Stuck) Rhodes, age 88, of LaGrange, IN passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Life Care Center of LaGrange, IN.  She was born on October 5, 1936, in Orland, IN and raised in Colon, MI to George A. and Lolene B. (Deirthick) Stuck.  She was a wife, homemaker, and a world traveler and often told stories of her travels.  She was a collector of antiques and enjoyed nature and natural elements.  She loved to read, play games, and would often in her later years play cards at the Council of Aging, where she also met numerous friends.  She often donated her time and crocheted items for fund raisers.  Sandra became an advocate for the elderly in LaGrange County whenever she felt there was an injustice and was nominated once for the Heart of Gold award for her volunteer services.  Even though she herself was disabled, she helped those who had trouble getting around or who was in need.  She will be missed by her family and many others in the community.

Survivors include: Daughter, Jerrilyn Rhodes of Denham Springs, LA. Daughter, Morgan Hershberger of LaGrange, IN. Granddaughter, Ashley Feldshau of Sturgis, MI Grandson, Chad Feldshau of Junction City, WI. Granddaughter, Saundra Hershberger of LaGrange, IN. Grandson, Josheph Iler of MI. Grandson, Aaron Hiatt of Arizona. Grandson, Wesley Hiatt of Oklahoma. 8 Great-grandchildren. Many other surviving nieces and nephews.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Dawn Rhodes, granddaughter, LoLene Collier, 3 sisters; Alice Schappert, Gail Crapo, and Marsha Stouder, and a half-brother, Kenny Stuck.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 3:00pm with calling 2 hours prior from 1:00pm-3:00pm at Hess Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 603 South Detroit Street, LaGrange, IN 46761.
