Sandra "Sandy" Lee Hensler, age 72, of Hackenburg Lake, Wolcottville, IN passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at her residence.  Mrs. Hensler was born on October 30, 1951 in Fort Wayne, IN to the late Richard and Ruth (Crater) Hively.  In 1970, she graduated from Concordia Lutheran High School in Fort Wayne, IN.  On April 15, 1972, she married the love of her life and husband of 52 years, Gary Hensler Sr. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne, IN.  For 30 years, she worked as the officer manager of her and her husband's business, "A&K Dependable Appliance."  Sandy loved to read romance novels, bird watch, and watch political shows.  She was an avid fan of her grandchildren's sporting events, and she rarely missed a game.  Sandy was a strong-willed, opinionated, and stubborn woman with a loving heart.  She was a devoted family woman, loved her family dearly, and enjoyed spending quality time with her canine companions, "Sledgehammer" and "Jackhammer".

Survivors include: Spouse, Gary J. Hensler Sr. Son, Gary J. (Andrea R.) Hensler Jr. Daughter, Apryl D. (Andy) Wagner. Grandchildren, Braeden J. Hensler, Brennan V. Hensler, Eva Wagner, Thomas Wagner, and Emmery Wagner. Brother, Dan Hively. Brother-in-law, Robert (Marie) Hensler. Brother-in-law, Dave (Candy) Hensler. Sister-in-law, Cindy (Denny) Eisberg. Sister-in-law, Pam (J.D.) Waters. Brother-in-law, Kevin Hensler.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, father-in-law, and mother-in-law, Robert and Marjorie Hensler.

There are no services scheduled at this time and cremation will take place.
