Ruth Arlene Crocker, age 85, of LaGrange, IN formerly of Wolcottville, IN passed away on June 7, 2021, at her residence.  She was born on May 19, 1936, to Edward SR. and Mary (Frazier) Gant.  She married her husband of 40 years Tom Crocker.  Ruth worked in hotel management for Elkhart Motor Lodge.  She also worked as a dedicated private caregiver to the elderly.  Ruth loved quilting, sewing, knitting, and crafting.  She enjoyed planting flowers and tending to her immaculate yard.  Ruth was her own person and did as she pleased, all while enjoying the time spent with her loved ones and family.

Survivors include: Son, Richard Potter of Elkhart, IN. Daughter, Rosella (Wayde) Kiser of LaGrange, IN Son, Dennis (Mary) Potter of Jackson, MI. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Brother, Robert Gant of Texas. Sister, Judy Moore of Dowagaic, MI. Sister, Beverly Strange of Indianapolis, IN. Sister, Nancy Perkins of South Bend, IN. Sister, Betty Nichols of Shepardsville, KY.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, son, Charles Potter, daughter, Roberta Potter, and several siblings.

Funeral service will be held and officiated by Kenneth Beverly on Friday, June 11, 2021, at 11am with calling one hour prior from 10am-11am at Hess Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 603 South Detroit Street, LaGrange, IN 46761.

Burial will take place and a graveside service will be held by Christopher Thomas at South Wayne Cemetery in Dowagaic, MI following the funeral service.
