Roger Charles Thomason, age 54, of Keavy, KY formerly of LaGrange, IN passed away on Monday, January 1, 2025 at his residence in Kentucky.  Mr. Thomason was born on April 13, 1970 in Michigan City, IN at St. Anthony Hospital to Robert Thomason and Janette (Russell) Taylor.  Roger's father passed away when he was just 18 months old and Ronnie "Mickey" Taylor stepped in and helped raise he and his brother, Robert.  Roger attended Lakeland High School in LaGrange, IN.  After high school at the age of 20, Roger was in a tragic automobile accident that left him as a paraplegic.  Despite his adversities, he still found joy, loved life, and lived to the fullest.  On June 22, 1991, Roger married his wife Sherry in LaGrange, IN.  Roger enjoyed playing baseball when he was young and absolutely loved to go fishing.  He was known as a try anything once kind of man.  He also was a very good prankster and legend has it you should be prepared if he asked you to smell a jar while taking a road trip.  Roger loved his family and loved ones.  They were his primary focus and he did everything he could for them.

Survivors include: Wife, Sherry Thomason. Parents, Janette and Ronnie "Mickey" Taylor. Son, Austin Thomason. Son, Anthony Thomason. Daughter, Brittney Blankenship. Daughter, Allison Thomason. Grandchildren, Cohen Thomason, Paisley Karr, and Lily Blankenship. Brother, Robert and Rose-Ann Thomason. Several other extended family members.

Roger was preceded in death by his biological father, Robert Thomason and several other extended family members.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at 1:00pm with calling one hour prior from 12:00pm-1:00pm at Hess Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 603 South Detroit Street, LaGrange, IN 46761.

Burial will take place following the services at Greenwood Cemetery in LaGrange, IN.
