Roberto Bixano Arizmendi

Roberto Bixano Arizmendi, de 57 años, de Fort Wayne, Indiana, y anteriormente de Ciudad de México, México, falleció en paz, rodeado de su amada familia, el viernes 28 de agosto de 2026, en su residencia.

Roberto nació el 20 de abril de 1969, en Ciudad de México, México, hijo de Carlos Bixano Ruanova y Sabina Arizmendi Osorio. Después de completar sus estudios en México, Roberto emprendió una carrera como boxeador profesional. A lo largo de su carrera profesional en el boxeo, viajó extensamente, se entrenó con gran dedicación y logró numerosas victorias dentro del ring. Sin embargo, su último “nocaut” llegó cuando conoció al amor de su vida y decidió dejar atrás el ring.

El 3 de septiembre de 2005, Roberto contrajo matrimonio con su amada esposa de 21 años, Eva Hernandez, en Fort Wayne, Indiana. Juntos construyeron una vida basada en el amor, la familia y la dedicación mutua.

Durante 20 años, Roberto trabajó con dedicación como carpintero independiente y se enorgullecía de proveer para su familia. Fue un hombre trabajador y dedicado, que valoraba a su familia por encima de todo.

En su tiempo libre, Roberto disfrutaba ver boxeo y fútbol, hacer ejercicio y pasar tiempo con su familia. Disfrutaba especialmente visitar restaurantes mexicanos y chinos junto a sus seres queridos. Roberto fue un hombre amoroso, cariñoso y tranquilo, que hacía todo lo posible por las personas que amaba. Su buen corazón, su carácter amable y su dedicación a su familia serán recordados con cariño por todos aquellos que tuvieron la dicha de conocerlo. Será profundamente extrañado por su familia, amigos y seres queridos. Roberto fue un luchador de corazón, tanto dentro como fuera del ring. Después de su último nocaut, ahora puede descansar en paz en el reino eterno, junto a su Señor y Salvador.

Le sobreviven su amada esposa, Eva Hernandez; su madre, Sabina Arizmendi Osorio; sus hijastros, Jair Cabanas y Jessica Cabanas; sus nietostrastrados, Jakeline, Alan y Axel Ibarra; y sus hermanos, Juana, Carlos, Margarita, Catalina, Armando, Adriana y Gabriela Bixano Arizmendi.

Roberto fue precedido en la muerte por su padre, Carlos Bixano Ruanova.

Se llevará a cabo un Servicio Funerario en honor de Roberto el sábado 5 de septiembre de 2026 a las 4:00 p. m., con velación de 2:00 p. m. a 4:00 p. m., en Hess Funeral Home and Cremation Services, ubicado en 7633 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46835. Después del servicio funerario se realizará la cremación, a petición de la familia.

Roberto Bixano Arizmendi, age 57, of Fort Wayne, IN, and formerly of Mexico City, Mexico, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, August 28, 2026, at his residence.

Roberto was born on April 20, 1969, in Mexico City, Mexico, to Carlos Bixano Ruanova and Sabina Arizmendi Osorio. After completing his education in Mexico, Roberto pursued a career as a professional boxer. Throughout his professional boxing career, he traveled extensively, trained with great dedication, and achieved many victories in the ring. His final “knockout,” however, came when he met the love of his life and decided it was time to leave the ring behind.

On September 3, 2005, Roberto married his beloved wife of 21 years, Eva Hernandez, in Fort Wayne, IN. Together, they built a life centered around love, family, and devotion to one another.

For 20 years, Roberto worked diligently as a self-employed carpenter and took great pride in providing for his family. He was a hardworking and dedicated man who valued his family above all else.

In his leisure time, Roberto enjoyed watching boxing and soccer, working out, and spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed visiting Mexican and Chinese restaurants with his loved ones. Roberto was a loving, caring, and calm man who would do anything for those he loved. 

His kind heart, gentle nature, and devotion to his family will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and loved ones. Roberto was a fighter through and through, both inside and outside the ring. After his final knockout, he can now rest peacefully in the eternal kingdom, reunited with his Lord and Savior.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Eva Hernandez; his mother, Sabina Arizmendi Osorio; his stepchildren, Jair Cabanas and Jessica Cabanas; his step-grandchildren, Jakeline, Alan, and Axel Ibarra; and his siblings, Juana, Carlos, Margarita, Catalina, Armando, Adriana, and Gabriela Bixano Arizmendi.

Roberto was preceded in death by his father, Carlos Bixano Ruanova.

A Funeral Service will be held in Roberto’s honor on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 4:00 p.m., with visitation from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., at Hess Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 7633 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46835. Cremation will follow the funeral service at the request of the family.
