Peter "Pete" Edmond McCutcheon, age 57, of Three Rivers, MI passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024 at Sturgis Hospital in Sturgis, MI.  Mr. McCutcheon was born on August 4, 1966 in Chicago, IL to the late Robert and Margaret (Pesck) McCutcheon.  Pete attended Bogan High School in Chicago, IL and then continued his education at DeVry University.  Pete was a highly skilled and passionate network engineer within the computer science world.  He previously worked in IT for 15 years at Akzo Nobel and 2 years at Personal Creations/ Sherry's Berries both in Chicago, IL .  He currently was employed as head of the IT department by Iceberg Enterprises LLC in Sturgis MI for the last 10 years.  Pete had an avid love for music and being a musician.  He was a self-taught pianist, guitarist, and drummer.  He loved the band "Rush," went to 15 of their shows, was highly influenced by their drummer, Neil Pert, and hosted several events at his house after the concerts for people to come and enjoy.  Pete was also a fitness enthusiast. He previously was a black belt in Hapkido and then patronized "Explicit CrossFit" in Sturgis, MI four times a week later in life.  He was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears, White Sox, and Bulls.  For 25 years, he also managed his own fantasy football team, "The McCutcheon Manglers."  Pete was a fan of guns and conspiracy theories before it was more common to theorize conspiracies. He also enjoyed studying law with his brother and dreamed of being a history teacher due to his love of history.  Pete was a loving father and friend who will be missed by those who loved him.

Survivors include: Daughter, Liberty McCutcheon of Wolcottville, IN. Mother of his daughter, Lynn McCutcheon of Wolcottville, IN. Step-son, William Young of Sturgis, MI. Brother, Paul Robert McCutcheon of Chicago, IL. Sister, Peggy and Gerard Roy of Florida. 3 Canine companions, Kaypo, Karma, and Reena. 2 nephews and 1 niece.

Peter was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Patrick McCutcheon.

There are no services scheduled at this time and cremation will take place.
