Patricia F. Allen

Patricia F. Allen, age 65, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at The Waters of Fort Wayne. Ms. Allen was born on October 2, 1960, in Lima. In 1978, she graduated from Elmhurst High School in Fort Wayne. Patricia then continued her education, earning an associate’s degree in fashion merchandising at Balder University in Miami.

Patricia was an entrepreneur and philanthropist who revealed her caring and generous spirit through “Business Diversity Works,” a business she founded to help small businesses grow and succeed. Her latest focus was developing a construction trade apprenticeship program that worked alongside the city and local construction trades. Both endeavors were designed to strengthen and empower small businesses within the community. Helping others was truly Patricia’s passion. She never failed to show up or go above and beyond for those she loved and supported. Her greatest goal was to create generational wealth for her family. Patricia also enjoyed crafts, computer research, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Survivors include her daughter, Chanell Ridley, (Lauren Hudson), of Fort Wayne, IN; her sister, Gwendolyn Kelly and Aaron, of Albany, GA; her sister, Kathy Powell and husband, Dennis, of Fort Wayne, IN; her sister in law Kathy Allen of Weaver, AL; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Patricia was preceded in death by her mother, Lueneal Miller, her father Neil Miller and her brother, Arnold Allen.

A memorial service in Patricia’s honor will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., with visitation prior from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Hess Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 7633 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46835.

Memorial donations may be directed to the family.
