Norma Orene Burgess, age 88, of LaGrange, IN passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  Mrs. Burgess was born on October 4, 1933 in Middlebury, IN to Clem and Ida (Schrock) Mishler.  On October 10, 1981, she married Harry Burgess.  For 17 years, Norma owned and operated Burgess Trucking alongside her husband.  Norma enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers.  She also was an avid reader and enjoyed completing puzzles.  Norma loved her family, grandchildren, and spending as much time with them as she could.

Grandson, Kurtis (Heather) Yoder of Muskegon, MI. Grandson, Eric (Megan) Yoder of Plainwell, MI. Granddaughter, Andrea (Beau) Yoder-Craft of Las Vegas, NV. Granddaughter, Candice (Nathan) Clark of Crown Point, IN. Granddaughter, Melissa Weirich of Salida, CO. Grandson, Matthew (Teresa) Weirich of Fishers, IN. Grandson, Austin (Kait) Gamble of Santa Cruz, CA. Granddaughter, Erika (Gabe) Ingram of Fort Wayne, IN. Grandson, Remington Carpenter of LaGrange, IN. Grandson, Spencer Carpenter of LaGrange, IN. Great-grandson, Kaleb Yoder of Muskegon, MI. Great-granddaughter, Addie Yoder of Plainwell, MI. Great-grandson, Sterling Craft of Las Vegas, NV. Great-grandson, Parker Niksch of Crown Point, IN. Great-granddaughter, Noelle Niksch of Crown Point, IN. Great-grandson, Ben Clark of Crown Point, IN. Great-granddaughter, Madison Mommer of Salida, CO. Great-grandson, Ashton Weirich of Fishers, IN.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, grandchild, Archer Craft, and 3 brothers; Lester, Lloyd, and Harold Mishler.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 17,2021 at 1:00pm with calling 1 hour prior from 12:00pm-1:00pm at Hess Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 603 South Detroit Street, LaGrange, IN 46761.

Officiating the services will be Pastor Tamara Gerber.

Burial will take place at Eden Cemetery in Topeka, IN.

Memorial donations may be directed to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
