Michael Leroy Mowery

Michael “Mike” Leroy Mowery, age 67, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at his residence. He was born on November 25, 1958, in Fort Wayne, IN, to the late Max Herendeen and Beverly Henline.

Mike was a graduate of Paul Harding High School in Fort Wayne. He proudly served his country with the United States Army National Guard. On November 28, 1987, Mike married his wife of 38 years, Theresea Ann Murray, at the Eagles in New Haven, IN. He devoted 38 years of his career to commercial roofing with C.L. Schust Roofing.

Mike enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing and cruising on his Harley. In his spare time, he also enjoyed watching movies and playing Euchre. He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Theresea Mowery; his children, Ryan Murray, Josh Enright, Anthony (Leesa) Enright, Magdelana (Jacob) Hammond, and Cierra Murray; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and his siblings, James (Diane) Mowery and Teresa Sawyer.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 28, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., with visitation for two hours prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Hess Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 7633 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46835.

Burial will follow the funeral service at Concordia Cemetery Gardens, 5365 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN 46815.

Chaplain Kris McPherson will officiate the services.
