Matthew Douglas Pontius, age 43, of LaGrange, IN passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024 at his residence.  Mr. Pontius was born on September 6, 1980 in LaGrange, IN to Douglas Conley and Carmen Pontius.  Matt obtained his GED and then ventured on to the workforce.  For over 10 years, he was employed by Precision Speed in Sturgis, MI in the research and development division.  On July 29, 2023, Matt married Katrina Leann Gose at Gene Stratton Porter State Memorial in Rome City, IN.  Matt had an extreme passion for rock music, playing the guitar, and was even in two bands "Anti Gone" and "Shiftkit" for several years when he was younger.  He also enjoyed playing video games.  Matt's favorite pastime was spending quality time with his loved ones, family, and being the most amazing husband, father, son, and brother.

Survivors include: Spouse, Katrina Pontius. Mother, Carmen Pontius. Children, Ashton Pontius, Serenity Mcintyre, La'Miya Mcintyre, and Lylan Mcintyre. Brother, Andrew Pontius. Mother-in-law, Julie Daler. Several aunts, uncles, and cousins that loved him.

Preceded in death father, Douglas Conley, all his grandparents, and an aunt.
