Kimberly K. Warkentine

Kimberly K. Warkentine, age 66, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026, at home in Angola, Indiana. She was born on July 31, 1959 in Marshall, Illinois, to the late John Kirchner and the late Doris (Rasner) Kirchner. Kim graduated from Marshall High School in Illinois, then attended Lincoln Trail College where she completed her Associate in Applied Science degree in Petroleum Technology in 1979. After graduation, Kim serviced oil rigs in the oil fields in central Michigan for several years, prior to working locally at Tokheim Corporation and Trin Corporation. On July 29, 1995, Kim married Lyle Warkentine in Hudson, Indiana.

Kim enjoyed the simple life at her home in the country in rural Steuben County, Indiana. She maintained a close-knit family, watching out for everyone and making sure everything was taken care of. Kim will always be remembered for her sense of humor and her ability to meet people, never knowing a stranger.

Kim is survived by her spouse, Lyle Warkentine; her son, Taylor Warkentine; her son, Casey (Britanny) Warkentine; a sister, Karen Kirchner; a sister, Kris Kirchner; and nieces, nephews, and many cousins.

Kim was preceded in death by her parents, John and Doris Kirchner; her brother, Jonny Kirchner; and a grandson, Kylo Warkentine.
