Keith Edward Dietrich

Keith Edward Deitrich, age 64, of Ligonier, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his residence on January 17, 2026.

Keith was born on February 21, 1961, in Ashley, Ohio. He completed his high school education in Ohio and carried with him throughout his life a strong work ethic and deep devotion to his family.

On August 13, 2013, Keith married the love of his life, Dorothy Dean, at beautiful Bixler Lake in Kendallville, Indiana. Their marriage was built on faith, love, and unwavering commitment.

Keith was employed for many years at Covington Box in Ashley, Indiana. Most recently, he worked at BRC Plastic in Ligonier, Indiana. He was known as a dependable and hardworking man who took pride in providing for his family.

Keith had a profound love for animals, especially cats and dogs, and his compassion extended to everyone he met. He was a family-oriented man who deeply loved his stepdaughters and would gladly give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Keith cherished his relationship with God and found great joy in listening to Christian music. He truly had a heart of gold and was always willing to help in any way he could.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Stepdaughter, Cora Ackerman and Malcom Morrison.

Stepdaughter, Tamara and Christian Ackerman.

Adopted daughter, Diana Birch.

Adopted son, Alex Rial.

Adopted Son, Andrew Marner.

Brother, Rick Dietrich.

Three pets, Foxy, Thor, and Moo Moo Sr.

17 cats.

Keith was preceded in death by his first wife, Ellen Dietrich, his parents; Jene Dietrich and Phyllis Noragon, and siblings; Mark Bender and Katherine Dietrich.

There are no services scheduled at this time and cremation will take place upon the family’s wishes.
