Julia Louise Gieseking, age 59, of Kendallville, IN passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, May 3, 2024 at Parkview Regional Medical Center.  Ms. Gieseking was born on October 5, 1964 in West Palm Beach, FL.  In 1982, she graduated from East Noble High School in Kendallville, IN.  She then attended Ivy Tech Community College in Fort Wayne, IN.  In 1984, she married Walter Trowbridge Jr. and then separated in 2001.  Together they had 3 wonderful children, 6 grandchildren, and had wonderful times as a family.  For many years, she worked for Caldwell General in Kendallville, IN.  For 20 years, she worked at Walmart in Kendallville as a cashier.  She also helped and volunteered at East Noble High School in the Cafeteria.  Julia loved puzzles, reading, gardening, and visiting California and Florida beaches.  She also enjoyed going to services at First Christian Church in Kendallville, IN.  Julia had a strong fighting spirit and will throughout her lifetime.  She absolutely valued every ounce and moment of quality time with her loved ones, children, grandchildren, and her two pets, Turbo and Ash.

Survivors include: Son, Walter (Amber) Trowbridge III of Shipshewana, IN. Daughter, Tricia (Timothy) Gilbert of Auburn, IN. Daughter, Sherinda Trowbridge of Kendallville, IN. Cousin, Suzanne Scotty of Fort Wayne, IN. Aunt, Carole Foster of Sacramento, CA. Grandchildren, Isiah, Jordan, and Bryson Trowbridge, Aubriegh Stover, Destiny, and Maddison Gilbert.

Julia was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Anne Gieseking, grandparents; John and Olive Gieseking, and a grandson, Darryl Stover.

There are no services scheduled at this time and cremation will take place.
