Joseph B. Gerwig, age 37, of Coldwater, MI and formerly of LaGrange, IN, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2020 at Parkview Regional Medical Center.  Mr. Gerwig was born in Traverse City, MI to Terry Lee and Lou Ann (Rich) Gerwig.  He graduated from Lakeland High School in LaGrange.  Joe was a mechanic and worked for Real Alloy in Coldwater, MI as a maintenance supervisor for 5 years. Joe's true passion was his Harley Davidson Motorcycle.  He loved riding and spending countless hours with his bike.  Joe was an avid NASCAR fan and loved Dale Earnhardt Jr.  He cherished and loved his daughters beyond what words could describe.  Joe really valued his quality time spent tinkering on cars and projects with his dad, Terry.  He was a Chevy enthusiast throughout his entire lifetime.  Joe loved his family, daughters, and friends and always enjoyed being around their loving embrace.

Survivors include: Daughter, Jasmine Gerwig of LaGrange. Daughter, Hailey Gerwig of LaGrange. Daughter, Jenna Gerwig of LaGrange. Parents, Terry Lee and Lou Ann Gerwig of LaGrange. Sister, Steffanie (Victor) Lugo of Mishawaka. Sister, Elizabeth Hart of LaGrange. Mother of his children, Stacey Owsley- Gerwig of LaGrange.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at 1:00pm with visitation 2 hours prior from 11:00am-1:00pm at Hess Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 603 South Detroit Street, LaGrange, IN 46761. Services will conclude at the Funeral Home and a luncheon will be held immediately following the funeral ceremony at Hess Funeral Home Community Center. Officiating the services will be Chaplin Ken Weaver. Memorial donations may be directed to the family for his daughters.
