Joan M. Weaver

Joan M. Weaver, age 84, of Ossian, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Joan was born on January 15, 1941, in East Cleveland, Ohio, to Joseph and Sophie (Jarzabek) Siekaniec. She graduated from Lord’s Academy High School in Cleveland, Ohio, and continued her education at Parma School of Nursing in Parma, Ohio.

On August 5, 1970, Joan married the love of her life, Claine Weaver, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Throughout her life, Joan was truly a Jill-of-all-trades, wearing many hats during her professional career. She was a long-time and active realtor with Century 21 in Medina, Ohio, worked in customer service for United Airlines, and was employed as a teller with Cleveland Federal Bank.

Joan had a generous heart and a strong desire to help others, a trait beautifully reflected during her time serving as a volunteer EMT in Chatham Township, Medina, Ohio. She found joy in crafts, diamond art painting, and breeding and raising Shelties.

Joan loved to travel and had the opportunity to live across the globe alongside her husband while he honorably served his country in the United States Navy.

Above all, Joan cherished her family. Her most treasured and proudest role was that of “Grandma.” She deeply loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and spent as much quality time with them as possible.

Joan will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

Spouse, Claine Weaver.

Son, Devon and Alicia Weaver.

Son, Stephen Weaver.

Daughter, Christina Pyros.

Grandchildren, Alexis, Philip, Grace, Jenna, Olesia, and Amelia.

Great-grandson, Nicolas.

Cousin, Lenore Slovick.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Thomas Siekaniec.

There are no services scheduled at this time and cremation will take place upon Joan’s wishes.
