Helen Louise Prill, age 84, of Wolcottville, IN passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at The Waters of LaGrange in LaGrange, IN.  Ms. Prill was born on April 26, 1940, in LaGrange, IN to the late Forrest and Gladys (LeMaster) Bell.  In 1958, she graduated from LaGrange High School.  On April 29, 1961, she married the love of her life, Michael Harold Prill at the Church in Plato in rural LaGrange, IN.  For 4 years, she worked as a secretary at Burlington Railroad in Chicago, IL.  She then became a loving mother, caretaker, homemaker, and focused on raising her family.  Helen then went back to the workforce in the Fabric Department at Walmart for 3 years.  For nearly 6 years, she was employed by Country Place Apartments, where she managed the Meals on Wheels program.  She then retired from LaGrange Hospital as a dietary cook after 7 years of dedicated service.  Helen was a family woman and her love for family also included her two canine companions, Penny and Lucy.  She focused most of her time on her family, children, and grandchildren.  Her everlasting care and love for them was shown by her seamstress skills and making clothing for her daughters, spearheading and organizing holiday events and parties, after school episodes of Mash, telling her legendary stories, as well as soaking up as much quality time as possible.  She was a phenomenal cook, specializing in beef and noodles, chicken and noodles, and various desserts including her famous rice crispy snacks.  She enjoyed scrap booking, going to Curves as well as long walks with her sister Barbara, attending the First Place Bible Study Group at the LaGrange Church of God, and attending Life Bridge at Parkview Hospital.  Helen will be deeply missed by her family, grandchildren, and friends.

Survivors include: Daughter, Michelle and David Chrisman. Daughter, Kay and Steven Heller. 7 Grandchildren, Grant (Paula) Heller, Shane (Ariel) Heller, Garett Chrisman, Andrew Chrisman, April Chrisman, Jaxon (Maci) Prill, and Chelsea (Lindsey) Prill. 10 Great-grandchildren, Eva Heller, Melissa Heller, A'den Heller, G'deon Heller, Nolen Heller, Jackson Heller, Winston Heller, Paisley Prill, Rhett Prill, and Sawyer Heller. Brother, Richard Bell. Sister, Barbara Householder. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Craig Prill, and siblings, Betty Cline, Eugene Bell, and Ruthie O'Neil.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at 1:00pm with calling two hours prior from 11:00am-1:00pm at Hess Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 603 South Detroit Street, LaGrange, IN 46761.

Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in LaGrange, IN.
