Gregory "Greg" Ben Greenawalt

Gregory “Greg” Ben Greenawalt, 74, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

Greg was born on March 4, 1951, in LaGrange, Indiana, to the late Benjamin L. and Joyce E. (Krugh) Greenawalt. He graduated from high school and entered the workforce, where he built a lifelong career around his passion for automobiles. A true car enthusiast and tire expert, Greg worked for many years as an auto mechanic and tire service technician at Woodward Automotive. He also spent time working as a truck driver. Known for his strong work ethic, Greg took pride in everything he did.

In his free time, Greg enjoyed tinkering with cars, racing, and watching his favorite NASCAR driver, Dale Earnhardt. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mother of his children, Carolyn Nevares.

Greg was preceded in death by his parents and uncle, Stanley Greenawalt.

There are no services at this time and cremation will follow upon the family’s wishes.
