Fred was born and lived in Howe IN for nearly is his entire life. He served his country in the Marine Corp and worked as a telephone lineman for United/Sprint until his retirement.

He is survived by his brother Jim Pfenning (Jean)of Howe/Leesburg FL, his son Max Pfenning (Bridget) his daughter, Tami Fox (Morris) his grandchildren Amanda, Lucas and Logan, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. A reception is his honor will take place at the LaGrange American Legion Post 215 on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 4pm-6pm. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Legion, Post 215.
