Fred "Little Brother" Messer, age 56, of Wolcottville, IN passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022 at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville, IN.  Mr. Messer was born on April 2, 1966 in Prairie County, Kentucky to Willie and Betty (Short) Messer.  Fred worked for Master Quality in finishing as a painter for several years.  He also was employed at Dodge Garage in maintenance and clean up.  Fred was a music enthusiast and loved playing music from his big speakers and dancing on his patio.  He enjoyed whittling, playing games on his phone, and swinging nun chucks.  Fred was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his loved ones.

Niece, Aleshia Messer of LaGrange, IN.

Niece, Jonnie Sue Messer of Garrett, IN.

Great-nephew, Robert Lindsay of Kendallville, IN.

Great-nephew, Danny Lewis of Kendallville, IN.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Jimmy Messer, Nephew, Donnie Messer, and 2 cousins, Anthony Short and Nathan Messer.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 25, 2022 at 1:00pm with calling one hour prior from 12:00pm-1:00pm at Hess Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 603 South Detroit Street, LaGrange, IN 46761.

Burial will take place at Brushy Chapel Cemetery.

Officiating the services will be Rev. Earl Bolen.
