Donna M. Gehrls, age 86, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at her residence in Sturgis, MI.  Donna was born on February 26, 1934 in Caro, MI to Clark and Leota (Way) Hutchinson.  She graduated from Caro High School in Caro, MI.  In 1971, she married the love of her life Howard E. Gehrls and resided in Fairgrove, MI for 47 years.   Donna was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker.  She enjoyed countless hours of meticulous diamond painting.  Donna liked to watch the birds from her room, read books and cookbooks, and studying her recipe collection.  She and her daughter Heather loved cooking together.  She enjoyed traveling to see her children, grandchildren, and extended family.  Donna loved her feline friend, Cootsie.  She enjoyed the company of all her sons-in-laws and had a special bond with each of them. She touched at lot of hearts in her lifetime. Donna loved her children, grandchildren, and was world famous for "Not giving a rip!"

Survivors include: Daughter, Kathy and Mike Wark Daughter, Janice Wark Daughter, Rhonda and Tim Newton Daughter, Phyllis and Dave Neely Daughter, Merri and Robert Klingel Daughter, Heather and Joseph Kyle Step-son, Robert and Linda Gehrls Step-daughter, Sue and Bryan McMullen 18 Grandchildren. 28 Great-grandchildren. Brother, Charles and Nancy Hutchinson. Donna was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Earl Sarles; second husband Howard E. Gehrls; her parents; a step-son, Edward Gehrls; son-in-law Steve Wark; and 1 grandchild, Bradley Goetz. There are no services scheduled at this time, but will be announced at a later date.
