Dolpha Gayheart, age 74, of Howe, IN passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at his residence.  Mr. Gayheart was born on May 23, 1948 in Martin, KY to Reford and Dove (Blevins) Gayheart.  Dolpha loved to help people and had a pure heart of gold.  He enjoyed yard work, house work, and making trips to the mailbox.  Dolpha was known for his caring and genuine intentions and will be missed by those who loved him.

Survivors include:

Sister, Esta Moore of Howe, IN.

Brother, Edsall Ray (Nola Mae) Gayheart of Willard, OH.

Brother, Green (Donna)  Gayheart of Howe, IN.

Many nieces and nephews.

Dolpha was preceded in death by his mother, father, and step-mother, Helen Gayheart.

Funeral service will take place on Thursday, February 9, 2023 with visitation prior from 10:00am-1:00pm at Hess Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 603 South Detroit Street, LaGrange, IN 46761.

Burial will take place following the service at Greenwood Cemetery in LaGrange, IN.

Officiating the services will be Pastor Wade Sturdivant.

Memorial donations may be directed to Riley Children's Hospital.
