Delores "Minnie Pearl"  Mae Weaver, age 69 of Mongo, IN passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Life Care Center of LaGrange, IN,  Mrs. Weaver was born on August 28, 1954 in Hazard County, KY to the late Robert and Oakley (Allen) Collins.  On December 22, 1972, she married Ace Weaver.  Delores was a loving wife, mother, caregiver to her son, Ace Weaver II, and homemaker.  She loved candles, puzzles, weaving, and crocheting in her leisure.  Delores always enjoyed her trips to Kentucky to visit her relatives.  In her younger years, she and her husband ventured to various churches and sang.  Delores was very resourceful and knew how to achieve what she needed.  She was known for her biscuits and gravy, as well as her banana pudding recipe.  She will be missed by those who loved and cherished her.

Survivors include: Spouse, Ace Weaver of Mongo, IN. Daughter, Luann Weaver of Fort Wayne, IN. Son, Ace Weaver II of Mongo, IN. 2 Grandchildren, Adrienne and Airon Weaver of Fort Wayne, IN. Siblings, Bentley Collins, Russell Collins, Leroy Collins, Deb Miller, Betty Gilbert, Barb Burke, Ruby Cash, and Edna Thompson. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Delores was preceded in death by her parents, 2 children; Ace V. Weaver Jr. and Ruby Jane Weaver, Siblings; Clayton, Johnny, Delbert, and James Collins.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 4, 2023 at 1:00pm with visitation 1 hour prior from 12:00pm-1:00pm at Mongo United Methodist Church, 325 IN-3, Mongo, IN 46771.

Burial will take place at Mongo Cemetery following the services at the church.

Memorial donations may be directed to the family for final expenses.
