Deborah Ann Thompson, age 93, of LaGrange, IN passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 29, 2024 at her residence.  Mrs. Thompson was born on September 17, 1931, at St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN.  In 1949, she graduated from Topeka High School in Topeka, IN.  On October 15, 1949, she married the love of her life Phillip Ray Thompson in Topeka, IN.  For 32 years, Deb was employed by Lakeland School Corporation in the cafeteria Department at Parkside Elementary School.  She absolutely adored her position within the cafeteria and loved brightening up the students' days.  Deb also worked for ASC as a secretary.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and homemaker as well and excelled at it.  Deb was known for her love for children, wonderfully prepared home cooked meals, and being a stellar mother and wife.  Family was a primary focus for Deb.  She enjoyed hosting weekly Sunday meals for her family, shopping for her grandchildren, and spending time with her extended family.  Shopping was another of Deb's favorite pastimes and she specifically enjoyed trips to Kohl's, Target, and buying Longaberger Baskets.  She was fond of gardening and loved animals.  Deb also enjoyed two vacation trips with her husband to Cancun and Hawaii.  Deborah Ann Thompson lived a wonderful life centered around her family, taking care of children, cooking and shopping for others, and she will be deeply missed by those who were blessed to be part of her lifetime.

Survivors include: Son, Matthew (Susan) Thompson of LaGrange, IN. Daughter, Amy (Steve) McKowen of Wolcottville, IN. Grandson, Keith Thompson of LaGrange, IN. Grandson, Justin (Morgan) Thompson of Howe, IN. Granddaughter, Jami Sites of Three Rivers, MI. Grandson, Joshua (Emmy) Clinton of Montrose, MI. Grandson, Conner McKowen of Wolcottville, IN. Granddaughter, Kimberly (Gage Shumway) Sites-McKowen of Wolcottville, IN. Granddaughter, Caitlyn Sites-McKowen of Wolcottville, IN. Great-grandchildren, Jason and Phoenix Clinton. 5 Great-step-grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a daughter, Kathleen Clinton.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025 at 1:00pm with calling 2 hours prior from 11:00am-1:00pm at Hess Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 603 South Detroit Street, LaGrange, IN 46761.

Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in LaGrange, IN.
