Christopher Licatesi

Christopher Licatesi, age 66, of Marion, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Lutheran Hospital surrounded by compassionate care.

Chris was born on October 16, 1959, in Chicago to John and Patricia (Burke) Licatesi. He was a graduate of Amos Alonzo Stagg High School and carried with him throughout life a strong work ethic and independent spirit.

Throughout his career, Chris dedicated many years to the manufacturing industry, where he was respected for his reliability, determination, and willingness to work hard. Among his various places of employment was General Motors in Fort Wayne, where he spent part of his working years contributing to the automotive industry. Those who knew Chris understood him to be a quiet and private man who valued honesty, simplicity, and living life on his own terms.

Outside of work, Chris found enjoyment in life’s quieter moments. He was an avid coin collector who appreciated the history and uniqueness behind each piece he acquired. He also enjoyed relaxing with a good cold beverage and cherished the peace and solitude that brought him comfort throughout the years. Though reserved by nature, Chris shared meaningful connections with those closest to him and will be remembered for his straightforward personality and enduring presence in the lives of his family.

Surviving are his loving father, John Licatesi; brothers, Michael Licatesi and Steven (Beth) Licatesi; sister, Laura (Phillip) Licatesi; and three nephews, Nicholas Cardilli, Matthew Licatesi, and Zachary Licatesi. Chris also leaves behind extended family members and friends who will remember him fondly.

Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Licatesi, and by his longtime companion, Cindy Sue Goodpaster, whom he cared for deeply.

In accordance with Chris’s wishes, cremation will take place and no formal services are scheduled at this time. His family finds comfort in the many memories shared throughout his life and in knowing he is now at peace.

Arrangements and care have been entrusted to Hess Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
