Carolyn From, age 92, of Angola, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 22, 2025, at Northern Lakes Nursing and Rehab in Angola.

She was born on December 5, 1932, in Hillsdale, Michigan, to the late Allen and Marjorie (Campbell) Sprow. Carolyn graduated from Reading High School in Reading, Michigan, in 1951. On March 29, 1952, she married the love of her life, Wallace From, in Orland, Indiana.

Carolyn was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She worked for five years at a mushroom farm, where she operated a forklift, and she cherished her time working alongside her husband on construction and home remodeling projects.

Active throughout her life, Carolyn walked six miles every day until her later years. She loved tending to her expansive flower garden and took pride in its beauty. In her younger years, she and Wallace traveled extensively, visiting all 48 of the lower states together. Both were proud members of American Legion Post #423.

Above all, Carolyn treasured time spent with her children, grandchildren, and extended family. She will be remembered for her strength, warmth, and the love she poured into her family and home.

Survivors include: Son, Duane From. Son, Rodney and Wanda From. 3 Grandchildren. 4 Great-grandchildren. Sisters, Jolene Marsh, Nancy Short, and Judy Hughes.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Dianne Vonnegut, siblings; Betty Fidler, Dean Sprow, and Mildred Johnson.

A graveside service will be held On Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 11am at Greenlawn Cemetery in Orland, IN.
